Deputy: 'He was in another room, shooting through the wall at this guy'
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- A man came back to his home in the 5500 block of Willis Creek Road early Sunday morning, and says he walked right into gun fire.
When the victim returned home a little after midnight, he noticed his belongings were in disarray.
As he walked through his home, the suspect, later identified as Jonathan Bunch, 26, allegedly started to shoot. "The suspect was in another room, shooting through the wall at this guy," said Douglas county Sheriff's deputy Dwes Hutson. "He shot about 10 rounds at him."
Authorities say the victim didn't know Bunch.
Bunch fled on foot, but Hutson says he fired back into the house again as he was leaving.
Law enforcement arrived on scene and set up a perimeter around the quiet neighborhood.
While checking the area, a Roseburg officer heard a voice coming from under a pickup truck, followed by a gunshot.
Officials say that shot was Bunch committing suicide.
Hutson says that Bunch was a suspect in several recent crimes around the county, including the armed Astro gas station robbery in Winston, and several car thefts.
No shots were fired by law enforcement officers according to the Sheriff's office. They also say the homeowner did not fire any shots.

WOW! Whether this guy did this or not you people should be ashamed of yourselves for the harsh words spoken...the person that you are intending to hurt with those words is no longer here and will not see this, but the people who will are his mourning family. Whether you believe so or not he was loved by his family and no matter what he has done with his life this is hard for them. Most of you are mothers on here and I pray that your child does not grow up to do anything like this because I would not want to see anyone hurt. I have a hard time believing all this crazy stuff that happens in Douglas County. Things like this didn't happen around hear when i was growing up in the 70's, and 80's :(  just simply and truly SAD. What a waste!, such a beautiful safe  County gone to BLEP.

He was a human being..a 26yr. Old kid who felt he had no way out, but to kill himself...what is wrong with you people...he had family and friends just like you..he was a messed up kid..who cares what he had on his neck it doesn't make him less human..may God judge you as harshly as you are him!

People please don't forget that this young man had a Mom. Someone who loved him unconditionally as a Mother does. Please respect her in her time of mourning and realize that this is a tragic story and "Not One Of You Know What Truly Took Place To Cause Such A Tragic Out Come" so please give your condolences and keep your speculation's to your self.

cant judge a person by tattoo, i have many and i dont break the law. cant judge a person by looking. it whats inside thats counts. none on my neck . walk a mile in someones shoes fred before you say anything.
My neck tatoo says I don't want a job, just as many drugs and crimes as I can do. Just send him to the mission already its where he will end up after he burns out anyway.

Very sad story, must have been pretty desperate. Sad to see so many so young in such desperate positions, either they just feel that way or are really desperate, for suicide to be an option is very sad!

An assistant manager of a large retail company...I WASN'T ALWAYS GREAT I WAS A DRUG ADDICTED LOSER. Be part of the solution instead, there is a major epidemic in this town. How would you feel reading these comments if it were your brother your child your grandchild. I'm not saying everyone gets better not everyone does unfortunately some people have to die so others can live.....I am grateful to be a success story and deeply sad for all of those not so luckyâ think before you generalize or stereotype. .I'm sure your not perfect.
lately all the news about people getting arrested, or police attempting to arrest have photos of people with tattoos on their neck> hmm coincidence? i assume to be weary of people with gang related tattoos anyways. however now it makes me more nervous. its almost as though they are warning us with these neck tattoos that they are potentially dangerous people. thank you for the heads up guys! we will know to stay away.

Here come the neck tattoo comments... Honestly the more of this story they put out the more glad I am he is not someone anyone has to worry about anymore. People that do things like this I do not believe are fixable and better off not in this world to do more harm to others.
