ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Optimist Club is partnering with the American Red Cross to teach kids safety tips in a fun, family friendly way.
The two organizations host the 'Family Safety Day' event every year.
This Saturday, dozens of people will man booths with hands on demonstrations of important safety tips.
Kids will get to learn about power lines, bike laws and earthquakes.
Children will also get to have their bike helmets fitted, meet law enforcement officials and even say 'Hi' to McGruff the Crime Dog.
That's happening Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the K-MART parking lot.
