CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- A Douglas County tradition of giving is back this week.
The 19th annual Festival of Trees is kicking off this Wednesday at 7 Feathers.
Crews are already setting up for the festival.
It's starting on Wednesday with the Silver Bell luncheon.
Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. is senior day, and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. it will be a foster children's Christmas party.
On Friday: The gala and benefit auction, and Saturday is the family day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Local organizations design their trees and deck them out with thousands of dollars worth of gifts.
At the benefit auction Friday, the trees and all of their goodies will be auctioned off.
Some set-ups have gone for thousands of dollars in past years.
Over the years, the festival has raised over $1 million for the Children's Healthcare Fund.
