Fire damages Winston home

WINSTON, Ore. -- Fire ripped through a Winston home Tuesday afternoon.

At around 1:45 p.m., a neighbor called 911 to report smoke coming out of a window at 291 Cary Street.

Fire crews arrived on scene and had the blaze extinguished less than 15 minutes after the call.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen area.

Firefighters on scene say they weren't sure exactly what caused the blaze, and the fire is still under investigation.
