ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Douglas Forest Protective Association has seen a spike in the number of wildfires recently.

With the heightened fire danger, a  regulated use closure for the general public will soon go into effect.

"That goes into effect on June 25 and essentially what will be prohibited will be open campfires, or any kind of open fires whether it's camp fires, warming fires, cooking fires, and also fireworks out in forested areas," said Kyle Reed with DFPA.

The DFPA website lists campgrounds where campfires are allowed.
