Fire guts Sutherlin mobile home

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- A Sutherlin home was completely destroyed in a fire Sunday.
A woman was at her home on North Comstock, and just before 11:00 a.m., she reported seeing a fire in her bedroom, which quickly spread to the rest of the house.
When crews arrived on scene, the home was already 70% involved, and threatening nearby houses and fences.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but the home and all of its contents are a total loss.
Fire District #2 officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
According to the Douglas County Assesor's Office, the mobile home was valued at $6,300.
The Red Cross responded to assist the family of three that lived there.
