GLIDE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a 19-year-old Glide man led troopers on a chase through town, and he was arrested for attempting to elude police and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
According to officials, a trooper tried to stop a Buick Le Sabre on Highway 138 East at Glide High School at about 12:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Troopers say the vehicle turned onto Park Street and drove away at a high rate of speed.
OSP followed the car, when they say it turned into a residence on Scott View.
Troopers arrested the driver, Matthew Wayne Dunfee, 19, for attempting to elude and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Troopers say he was also cited for no driver's license and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
He was booked at the Douglas County Jail, and a 23-year-old passenger was released at the scene.
