Graffiti Weekend not just for cars

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Classic cars dominated the roads this weekend, but the skies had some classics as well.

The Roseburg Regional Airport featured their Wings and Wheels air show.

Mike Carpentiero gave rides in his 1930 American New Standard bi plane.

"It's a hoot, said Airport Director Mike Danielle. "If you've never been up in a bi plane, it's like a motorcycle that flies."

Danielle opened the field up to experimental, home built and antique aircraft.

You could see a 1931 reproduction Great Lakes bi plane at the show, among all the other vintage aircraft.

"If you like antique cars and classic cars, there's nothing better than combining those with antique and classic airplanes," Danielle said.

Local pilots displayed their planes, along with the Oregon Antique and Classic Aircraft Club.
