Halloween party to benefit local soldiers, families

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Halloween weekend is here!

One Roseburg woman is using the holiday as a time to give back to the community. Katie Windsor is busy planning a Halloween blowout, and all of Roseburg is invited.

Although the event is free, Katie hopes to raise money for the families of local soldiers through raffles and donations.

Windsor says the National Guard is a part of her life, and she's happy to give back. "Whatever the families of Charlie Company need, whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving, activities for picnics for next year, it's all going to the families," she said.

The event is going on today from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the National Guard Armory.
