DIAMOND LAKE, Ore. -- Officials at one of the top tourist destinations in the county say the opening weekend of trout season was a successful one, even if it was a little chilly.

Staff at the Diamond Lake Resort sent pictures, and say the weather was great for some ice fishing.

According to Diamond Lake Resort's marketing director, Rick Rockholt, over 150 anglers hit the ice on opening day.

He says it was a little slower on the second day, but a lot of nice fish were caught.

Officials say most of them were in the 15-to-17 inch range, and Rockholt says the biggest one he heard about was 24 inches and 5 pounds. And that ain't no fish story...
