Jail inmate walks away from work crew in Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. - A jail inmate due to be released July 24 walked away from a work crew assignment at the County Courthouse on Wednesday morning, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Friday afternoon.

The sheriff's office asked anyone with information about the whereabouts of Robert Douglas Hallen, 41, to call (541) 440-4471.

Hallen walked away from an outside work crew assignment at the courthouse on July 16 around 8:30 a.m.

The building facilities worker reported Hallen missing at about 9 a.m.

Deputies checked the immediate area as well as other locations Hallen is known to frequent but were not able to locate him, the sheriff's office said.

Hallen was last seen wearing a black and white striped jail jumpsuit.

Hallen was booked in the county jail on July 7 on a Parole Violation and Reckless Driving. He was due to be released on July 24.
