KPIC takes the trophy for second year

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- KPIC was in full force for donkey basketball this weekend, and we didn't disappoint.

KPIC rode away victorious for the second year in a row, in our epic battle against Douglas County News.

It sure was a fantastic time, but donkey basketball isn't all just fun and games. "Most importantly, besides KPIC bringing home the trophy AGAIN, is the fact that this event today raised a lot of money and benefited children, and that's all we can ask for," said KPIC's Kevin Taggart.

All the proceeds of the event are going to the Douglas County Shrine Club.

There were a few spills and scrambles, but all in all, good sportsmanship by everyone involved.

As always, even though KPIC pulled away in the fourth quarter to win by two points, the true winners at this game are the kids in Douglas County.
