ROSEBURG, Ore. -- There is no better time than now to thank a teacher for their hard work and dedication.

It's national Teacher Appreciation Week.

Laura Harvey, a teacher at Fullerton IV Elementary in Roseburg, told KPIC News that she feels honored to share her second grade classroom with fellow teacher Judy Royce.

The two women work together to give their students a well rounded and fun learning experience.

This week, those students gave back. "Our Booster Club is fabulous, they made us breakfast and they came and visited, and there's some open awards given out through the community," said Harvey. "So, its been fun. We've had kids bring flowers and treats and fun things."

Mrs. Harvey says she loves teaching because children are our future.

She says they will retire us and make us all better people.
