ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg man was arrested over the weekend, after police say he fell asleep when he was supposed to be babysitting.
Roseburg police arrested Dakota Thomas Miars, 21, on Sunday, after they say neighbors called 911 to report a 2-year-old walking out of a residence by himself more than once.
When police arrived, they say Miars was supposed to be watching the boy, but says he fell asleep.
They took him into custody on two felony warrants, as well as second degree child neglect and possession of meth.
He was lodged in the Douglas County Jail and child welfare services was contacted.
