MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- A Tri City man was arrested Friday in connection to an attempted rape that occurred a week ago, Myrtle Creek Police said.
Last Friday (October 19th), police responded to an attempted rape in the 500 Block of Western Street in Myrtle Creek. The victim said that she did not know the man who sexually assaulted and tried to rape her.
A week later, police interviewed Elton Warner, 48, of Tri City, about his connection to the crime. After the interview, he was arrested for attempted rape, unlawful sexual penetration and sex abuse.
Warner is being held at the Douglas County Correctional Facility.
I know this man! He walks around my neighborhood often and has approached me and my kids several times. He is almost always drunk and/or using drugs. I can't let my kids out of my sight because of him. I am relieved he is in jail! I hope is held responsible for his actions. I am sorry for what happened to her and wish her peace and healing.
By the looks of him I can see why he needs to be put somewhere were he won't hurt any one else Â
