SALEM, Ore. – A 45-year-old man was found dead outside the Oregon Department of Human Resources building in Salem Monday morning, state police said.
There is no obvious indication the death was the result of a crime, according to Lt. Gregg Hastings.
The man was identified as David Michael Deis.
Someone called police around 8 a.m. when they saw the man’s body near the bike racks outside the building. Medics arrived and declared the man dead.
Detectives and the Marion County medical examiner are working to determine the cause of death.
Police said the Deis is believed to be homeless.
