...COOLER WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL COOL
HIGH TEMPERATURES TO TEN TO TWENTY DEGREES BELOW NORMAL AT INLAND
LOCATIONS. MOST VALLEY LOCATIONS WILL EXPERIENCE HIGH TEMPERATURES
IN THE 60S AND 70S WHILE IT WILL ONLY BE IN THE 50S FOR DAYTIME
MAXIMUMS IN THE MOUNTAINS TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP AND MOVE THROUGH THE AREA
AT TIMES THROUGH THURSDAY AS IMPULSES MOVE AROUND THE UPPER LEVEL
LOW FROM SOUTH TO NORTH. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ALSO OCCUR AT
TIMES...WITH HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BEING CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF A HALF AN INCH TO AN INCH PER HOUR.

THOSE PLANNING SUMMER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
THESE COOLER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. TAKE SAFE SHELTER WHEN LIGHTNING IS
NEARBY.

TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO WARM BACK TO NORMAL VALUES FRIDAY
THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES EXPECTED.
