OSP K-9 helps sniff out meth at traffic stop

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- Two California woman have been arrested after Oregon State Police say they were transporting about 5 ounces of meth in their vehicle.

State police say that Wednesday morning around 10:00 am, a trooper stopped a Chevy SUV that was northbound on I-5 near Cottage Grove for speeding.

Authorities say the women were identified as Judith E. Korbler, 41, and her passenger, Sandra K. Fulton, 47, both of Ontario, California.

Troopers say that an investigation during the traffic stop, with the assistance of an OSP drug detection canine, led to the discovery of over 144 grams (approximately 5 ounces) of crystal methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle.

They say they also seized other evidence.

The women were arrested and lodged in the Lane County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.
