Man charged with manslaughter in wrong way I-5 fatal crash

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The man that authorities say drove the wrong way on the freeway and hit another car, killing an Oakland man heading to work, has been charged with manslaughter and DUII.
Oregon State Police arrested Joshua Davis, 26, of Eugene after his release from Mercy Medical Center.
The charges stem from a Sunday morning crash on Interstate 5 north of Canyonville, that took the life of Victor Anderson, 44, of Oakland.
Authorities say Davis was heading north in the southbound lanes when he struck Anderson's car, killing him.
Officials have charged Davis with first degree manslaughter, DUII and recklessly endangering another person.
He is being held in the Douglas County Jail.
you will be Missed victor
So who is in the picture; the victim or the DUII driver?
@DKÂ Ya, he doesn't look like a "Joshua Davis".Â
Nice tattoo on his neck.Starting to see a trend here
DUII and Manslaughter , sad
Punish him to the full extent of the law!! No tolerance. ..May god have mercy on his soul!! My heart goes out to Victor, his family and all his loved ones.â¥
It sounds like he was at Mercy from the accident. So I would imagine Mercy did a tox screen and that's why he's being charged with a DUII.
They should execute this guy! that is, if he's killed 2 people? was that guy just in the last accident? an or the one earlier as well? wonder what Mercy gave him before they released him?
usually undrer theinfluence means alcohol, either way someone lost a life.
How do we know it was alcohol?he was just released from Mercy did they give him Meds
Victor was the nicest guy. To young to go. Pretty sad

My heart goes out to Victor's family. Such a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided.
Victor was one of my classmates. He was a great guy and will always be remembered by the class of 1987! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
That was my thought the second I heard about it... How else do you possibly get on the interstate the wrong way?! How sad!!
ya know here we all are so worried about guns and everyday i get on fb theres a news story somewhere about someone gettin killed by a drunk driver. Doesnt make much sense that alcohol is legal when ther is other stuff out there thats not nearly as bad thats illegal. This is very sad
Thats terrible :( Why cant people be more responsible :( Its always worse when it costs someone innocents life...
This is so sad. :-( my heart goes out to the family of victor.
