Oakland candidates can pick up forms

OAKLAND, Ore. -- The City of Oakland has announced that forms are available to file for candidacy in the upcoming election, with two council seats open, as well as the position of mayor.

Council positions #2 & 4 are currently held by Jana Cunningham and Carl Moore, and both seats are open for this November's election.

People can also file to run for mayor.

The mayor spot is a 2-year term, with each of the two open council seats being 4-year terms.

Forms can be picked up between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Oakland City Hall.

the deadline to return the nomination forms is 5:00 p.m. on August 20.
