VANCOUVER, Wash. – A man crashed his car into a house in Vancouver Wednesday morning.

Vancouver police believe the 19-year-old man was under the influence of synthetic marijuana, also known as Spice, during the crash. His name has not been released.

Police and firefighters responded to the house, located on Southeast Blairmont Drive, around 6:20 a.m.

No one was home during the crash, firefighters said. A family friend told KATU a mother and daughter live at the home, but they are on vacation.

Two bedrooms were destroyed in the crash, police said.

Paramedics took the driver to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to crews at the scene.

Police said Wednesday morning's crash was the second Spice-related crash in the past week.
