WINSTON, Ore. -- Winston Middle School was in a modified lockdown this afternoon, as police use a K-9 to track a man who police say ran from them.
An officer spotted the man at the 7-11 in Winston and knew he had a warrant for his arrest.
Police say the man took off on foot, leading them on a chase down Main Street past the fire station.
Winston police called in a Roseburg K-9 to help track the man, but they were unable to locate him.
Winston school officials say that students riding the bus were allowed to go as normal.
Police are not identifying the man that ran from them at this point.
Authorities say although rumors of a robbery at 7-11 were spread around town, they were not true.
