Police: Man shows gun to men who were 'staring at him'

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg police say a 20-year-old Sutherlin man is in jail after he allegedly pulled out a gun and cocked it in front of two men who were "staring at him."
Officials from RPD say that at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Ryan Lee Scevers, 20, of Sutherlin, was reported to have pulled a 9mm handgun and cocked it in view of two men in a car at the T Mart on Harvard Ave.
A 21-year-old female told police that she had said something to the two passengers in her car about Scevers that caused them to stare at the man.
Police say Scevers responded to their stares by producing a 9mm handgun and cocking it as an alleged act of intimidation.
Sutherlin police officers contacted Scevers at his residence later in the evening and took him into custody.
He was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on charges of menacing, harassment and second degree disorderly conduct.
Police say they confiscated the gun as evidence.
