Police: Man shoplifting caught with meth

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Myrtle Creek man is in jail, after Roseburg police say he was caught shoplifting from a local sporting goods store.

Authorities say they were called to Waldron's on Garden Valley Blvd. at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, for a report of a shoplifter that was detained in the store.

Officials say the man had been stealing clothing from the store.

Police say that when they arrived, they identified the suspect as Tylynn James Holsapple, 23, of Myrtle Creek.

During the investigation officers say they found a small amount of meth and marijuana, leading to additional charges.

Holsapple was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of meth and second degree theft.

His bail was set at $56,250.
