Police: Stranger in shower pitched camp in couple's backyard
The homeowners told police they hadn't approved this guest room, much less shower privileges

KEIZER, Ore. - A man wearing only a towel who'd pitched a tent in the backyard of a home here told police he had permission to camp there.

The homeowner told police they'd never seen the guy.

They'd only just met when the couple came home and found the man in their shower.

The man of the house tried to physically restrain the showering stranger while his wife called 911, according to Keizer Police.

Police identified the man as Francis Lucero, 29, from La Center, Washington.

Lucero claimed the homeowner had allowed him to camp in the backyard and thought it was OK to enter the residence to shower, police said.

Lucero had erected a tent in the fenced backyard of the residence, police said.

Lucero entered the residence through an unlocked rear door, police said.

Police jailed Lucero on charges of Burglary I. He was also charged with a Multnomah County arrest warrant for dangerous drugs.
