Police: 'Suspicious' fire destroys RV in Sutherlin

SUTHERLIN, Ore. - Police said a "suspicious" fire destroyed a motorhome and nearby trees Sunday night.

Firefighters and police arrived on scene at 9:52 p.m. and found an unoccupied motorhome on fire.

Flames had started spreading to overhanging trees and nearby bushes.

Fire crews knocked down the flames and covered the area in firefighting foam.

No one was injured.

The owner of the motorhome told police is was being used for storage. He valued the loss at $1,000.

Police said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
