Police conducting death investigation at sorority house in Corvallis
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Police in Corvallis are conducting a death investigation at a sorority house at Oregon State University.
Police say 20-year-old Lauren Snow died sometime over the weekend, but they don’t know exactly when or how.
According to the Corvallis Police Department, 911 was called from the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority in the 300 block of Northwest 26th Street at 1:22 p.m. Monday. Police said Snow lived at the sorority and was a student at OSU.
The call, police said, originally came in as a medical call. Currently, police and medical personnel are working to determine the cause of death.
Investigators said there is nothing right now to indicate a crime was committed. They interviewed Snow's sorority sisters and searched her room for signs of what may have caused her death. Police did not release where she was found in the house.
A sign posted on the front door of the sorority house said the house is closed until further notice.
