Citizen helps police catch wanted man

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- An alert citizen called 911 Wednesday evening, after spotting a man who eluded Myrtle Creek police earlier in the day, leading to his capture.
An officer attempted to stop a white 1999 Mustang with Washington plates just before 10:00 a.m. for a traffic violation.
The driver, later identified as Toby Joseph Enfield, 43, sped away on Interstate 5 southbound, police said.
A chase ensued, and authorities say that Enfield ditched his car on Rico Court in Riddle.
Police searched the area but were unable to find him.
An alert citizen spotted Enfield in Riddle Wednesday night and called 911, and police were able to take him into custody.
Enfield is currently lodged in the Douglas County Jail and charged by police with attempting to elude, reckless driving and reckless endangering.
His bail is set at $62,500.

Innocent men do not run from the police. They stand there ground and legally fight for what is right. Cowards and criminals run. They have something to hide.

I wish we knew if he was an actual criminal. You know that kind that commit crimes with actual victims. I would run away if I was unarmed and a man with a gun was chasing me too.
