Police seek owner of injured dog found along highway
State police said the adult Beagle was found injured along Highway 228 in Linn County Tuesday morning.

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ore. – State police are looking for the owner of an injured dog found along a highway in Linn County Tuesday morning.

The adult male Beagle was found along Highway 228 near Brush Creek Road, east of Crawfordsville, around 6:30 a.m.

Trooper Tim Fox said the injured dog may have fallen out of the back of a pickup truck or been clipped by a passing vehicle.

Troopers took the dog to a veterinarian in the Albany area. The dog’s injuries were minor, Fox said.

The dog has a black collar, but he was not wearing an identification tag, Fox said. He does not have a microchip.
