ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Dozens of folks gathered at Stewart Park this Saturday, for the fifth annual Ramble for Recovery.
It's an event geared toward honoring those going through recovery for substance abuse.
The event featured an information fair and a 5K run and walk.
Organizers say it's a great way for people to learn about getting treatment for substance abuse and the struggles that come with recovery. "They can find resources, the community can see that they can be successful in treatment and that they can contribute to the community," said Jerry O'Sullivan, Douglas County prevention coordinator.
This year, suicide prevention was added to the cause.
At least 21 agencies in the area helped make this event possible.
