Reedsport bids farewell to outgoing city manager
REEDSPORT, Ore.-- The City of Reedsport is saying goodbye to its current city manager Scott Somers.
Somers has accepted a new job as Clatsop County Manager in Astoria.
The City of Reedsport held an open house for local residents to say their goodbyes last night before monday's city council meeting.
Somers says it has been an honor to serve Reedsport.
"I think the final parting word is that we've made a lot of good friends here," Somors told KCBY. "We've accomplished a lot of great things here in Reedsport, and I'm confident that the town of Reedsport will continue to move in positive directions."
Somers has been Reedsport's city manager since January 2009, and he will start his new job on July 16th.
