Man uses bug spray to knock off restaurant
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Bug spray can be a life saver this time of year, but it can also be used as a weapon.
It happened Monday night when someone robbed Elmer's using insect repellent.
According to police, a tall, thin man wearing a blonde wig and a white beanie with a green sweatshirt and gloves walked into the restaurant on Mulholland Drive just before midnight.
The subject sprayed bug repellent in the employee's face, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sgt. Aaron Dunbar of the Roseburg police says this was something they don't normally see. "This is an extremely unusual case. We've had robberies in the past, but the idea of using bug spray as a weapon is a first," he said.
Police are urging people with any information to call the Roseburg Police Department's tip line at (541) 492-6794.
You a smart guy when it's not you being robbed. Can't be leave everything you read kid.
@pjk137 Apparently, I can believe what is reported in the police report and where in the world did you go to school...how about writing in complete sentences and make an effort to spell correctly.Â
Aside from the can of bug spray, wouldn't the fact that the man was wearing a blonde wig, a white beanie and gloves give any employee at Elmer's pause as to whether he might be there for something other than food...especially around midnight? Or do all their customers come dressed in this manner and equipped with their own personal bug spray? LOL
