ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg police say they had to use a Taser to subdue a man who tried to leave the scene of an investigation and refused to comply with officers.
Officers were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Lookingglass Road at around 8:00 p.m. Sunday night to the report of a physical disturbance.
Police say Shaun Lowry, 31, had pushed his 22-year-old girlfriend to the ground several times.
Officers say that at some point during the investigation, Lowry decided he was going to leave and go back into the house. Police say he refused to comply when they tried to detain him.
Officials say at that point, an officer had to shock Lowry with a Taser to get him to quit resisting.
Lowry was lodged at the Douglas County Jail, where he was lodged on charges of domestic harassment and obstructing governmental administration.
He later posted bail and was released.
