Roseburg man arrested for alleged rape in Myrtle Creek

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- A Roseburg man has been arrested and charged by police with first degree rape.
Myrtle Creek police arrested Ronald Wayne Shivers, 44, after they were called to a residence on North Myrtle Road around 1:00 am Sunday.
A female called 911 to report that Shivers had allegedly raped her a short time before she called.
Police say that Shivers and the woman knew each other.
Shivers was lodged in the Douglas County Jail and charged by police with first degree rape.
Bail is set at $375,000.
