DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Those on medicare and medicaid can now make changes to their plans.
But, for those who don't know what they need, or how to go about getting it, there's help for that.
The Senior Health Insurance Benefit Assistance is a program where seniors help seniors.
Those on the health plans have until December 7 to make any changes.
SHIBA officials say that, for many, that's easier said than done, but add that it's a necessity every year. Diana Circle, a SHIBA volunteer, says, "It's tremendously important, not just for those who are enrolling currently, but people who are in Medicare, they need to look at their drug coverage annually."
Local SHIBA volunteers have clinics available every week until the deadline.
