DRAIN, Ore. - A gunman wearing a gas mask robbed two teens on the streets of Drain on Tuesday night.

Police later arrested one of the gunman's associates and cited another before finding the suspect hiding in a shed.

The investigation started after 10 p.m. when a 17-year-old told police he was walking home from his girlfriend's house when three people approached him. One of the three was wearing a gas mask and had a gun.

The trio demanded all of the victim's belongings. The victim only had a cell phone, which they made him throw into the creek before letting him go.

The second robbery involved a 15-year-old boy who was walking home with several friends when he was approached by a man wearing a gas mask.

The man in the gas mask punched the victim in the face several times and then demanded the victim's wallet.

The suspect took the victim's wallet out of the victim's pocket and told him to run away.

Just before midnight, deputies contacted Christopher Snyder, 24, and Breanna Smith, 19, at their home. Deputies arrested Snyder and booked him in the county jail on First Degree Robbery and Third Degree Theft charges. Deputies cited and released Smith on the same charges.

Deputies found a third suspect, 25-year-old Thomas Finney, hiding in a shed just after 4 a.m. Deputies also seized a gas mask and a .22 caliber revolver from Finney, who is alleged to be the man in the gas mask in both robberies, the sheriff said.

Deputies booked Finney in the county jail on charges of First Degree Robbery, Third Degree Theft, Felon in Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, Menacing and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine charges.
