Sheriff: Man on meth causes mischief at motel
William Cameron

CRESWELL, Ore. - Deputies evacuated a hotel after a guest barricaded himself in his room and claimed to have explosives Monday, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.

William Cameron, 50, exited through the window of his room at the Super 8 after talking to deputies for about 10 minutes.

The sheriff said Cameron’s room was heavily damaged, including broken appliances, electrical fixtures and furniture.

Deputies determined that Cameron was under the influence of methamphetamine, and a small amount of meth was found in his room.

Cameron was booked into the Lane County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and possession of meth.
