Investigators from the Douglas County Major Crimes Team meet in front of the home where a man was found dead Sunday morning.

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's office has identified the man they say was found dead in Myrtle Creek over the weekend.

Authorities say that Sunday morning, the body of William J. Bruton, 57, of Myrtle Creek, was found at his residence at 139 Ulam Lane.

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team is investigating his death as a homicide.

"The major crimes team is working on a number of leads," said Sheriff's deputy Dwes Hutson. "We don't have a named suspect at this point. We are asking if anyone has any information that they feel is pertinent to this case if they would contact the sheriff's office."

The Sheriff's office says an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office.
