SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- George Reiswig, 84, and Linda Begley, 58, father and daughter, were identified by a family member as the people who were discovered deceased in a Sutherlin home on Monday.
Begley's daughter Sheridan told KPIC News that she and her boyfriend went to the home Monday morning after they didn't hear from her mother since talking to her last Tuesday.
Begley's daughter called 911, and police entered the residence, where they found the woman in the kitchen.
Sheridan says her grandfather suffered from dementia and Parkinson's, and sometime after Begley passed, had locked himself in the backyard of the home.
A medical examiner and EMTs responded to the scene, and told Sheridan that it appeared her mother had suffered a heart attack sometime Tuesday after they had talked on the phone.
Sheridan said both her grandfather and mother were hard of hearing, and it was not uncommon for them to miss the phone ringing.
