Taste of the Umpqua Valley happening Saturday

CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- A delicious fundraiser is coming up this weekend.
The Taste of the Umpqua Valley is taking place this Saturday.
Around 30 vendors will showcase the best of the area's food, wine, beer, and entertainment.
The event is hosted by Altrusa International of Roseburg, and all of the money raised will go to encouraging and furthering literacy for Douglas County kids.
Organizers say that the Taste is Altrusa's biggest annual fundraiser, so they're hoping for a big crowd. Charlotte Carter, the event chair, says it promises to be a good time. "It'll be a lot of fun. The food is wonderful, the visiting is wonderful, it's a very casual atmosphere," she said.
The fun kicks off Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. at 7 Feathers, and will run through 9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $50.
