CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- The Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Indians made some huge donations on Thursday.

All together, the tribe donated $425,000 to 58 non profits in seven different counties.

In Douglas County, 9 non-profits split more than $67,000.

Officials donated to organizations that focus on youth needs and food pantries.

Since 1997, the tribe has donated more than $12.5 million in grants to non-profits.
