Tuesday last day to register to vote in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- It's getting down to the wire for unregistered voters, as tomorrow is the last day you can register to vote or change your party affiliation.

The process is pretty simple, all you need is a driver's license or a state I.D.

Douglas County Clerk Patti Hitt told KPIC News about the different ways you can register. "You can either come into our office and fill out a registration card," Hitt said. "You can pick one up at the post office, some of the libraries, you can also go online to Oregon Votes.Org and register to vote there."

The ballots will go out Friday, and should hit mailboxes by Saturday.

If you don't receive your ballot in the mail by Wednesday, you should call the Elections Office at the courthouse to let them know.

Drop boxes are available all throughout Douglas County for ballots.

Hitt says another important thing to remember is to make sure and sign your ballot.
