ROSEBURG, Ore. -- At the Dream Center in Roseburg, officials were busy with their box food day on Monday.

Every Monday and Wednesday people are welcome to select food from the pantry there.

The Dream Center serves 60 to 65 families.

As busy as they are, colder weather is on the way and they're working to get ready to open the warming center in just a few weeks.

Sylvia Abbe, the executive director of the Dream Center, says it's a good way for people who don't have other options to get in out of the cold. "We open that up when it's 32 degrees with snow or 30 and below," she said. "We serve them a hot dinner, we have a movie, we have popcorn. In the morning we send them out the door with a sack lunch."

The warming center will open November 15 at the Foundation Fellowship Church in Roseburg.
