Water main replacement to take three weeks

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The City of Roseburg Water Department will begin work Monday morning to begin installation of a new water main on Highland Street.

Highland is off of Garden Valley Blvd, and work is expected to begin Monday morning around 7:30 a.m.

An aging water main will be replaced, and there will be some delays while the work is going on.

During construction, traffic will be limited to one lane of travel and motorist can expect short delays. 

The project is expected to last about three weeks and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

City officials say you can use Chestnut Ave. to reach local businesses and Gaddis Park.
