'We need to celebrate a city that works for today'

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Mayor Larry Rich delivered the State of the City address in Roseburg Monday Night.

According to rich, 2012 was a year of changes.

Rich touched on several changes that he believes will help local businesses, including the new longer airport runway, a new downtown parking initiative and several park reconstructions.

Rich believes that all of the year's projects have helped to make Roseburg the town it is today.

"We need to celebrate a city that works for today, invests for the future, welcomes change and meets challenges," he said.

Rich says that one thing the city council will continue to work on in 2013, is the beautification of the area between exit 124 and the downtown area, in order to make Roseburg more attractive to tourists.
