DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- The county is busy this weekend, and if you're looking for something to do, you've got a lot of choices.
Here's a look at just a few of them:
- The City of Oakland is having its 21st annual city-wide garage sale on Saturday from 9 to 5. Dozens of houses will have long forgotten treasures available for people to peruse.
- The Take Care of Sutherlin Day is happening on Saturday. It's kicking off with a community clean up at 9 am, and finishing with a flag retirement ceremony at 1:30.
- There's a community food drive for the FISH food pantry at the Roseburg Safeway from 10 to 4 on Saturday.
- Also on Saturday, the UCC business club is hosting Spring into Success. There will be a free concert, as well as food, beverages, and an entrepreneur open air market.
- The 5th annual International Cultural Experience is taking place on Sunday at the Wildwood Nursery in Winston from 3 to 7. The theme is: "A Slice of Americana," and the event will feature booths and displays about the original 13 colonies, as well as live music, a clam chowder contest, and more. Tickets are 25 dollars per person, 40 for couples.
