SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Sutherlin police have arrested the person they say stabbed a man several times on Sunday night.

Interim Sutherlin Police Chief Randy Schoen confirmed to KPIC News Thursday morning that Ashlei Ann White, 25, of McMinnville was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on conspiracy to commit attempted murder, among other charges.

Schoen says the McMinnville Police Department assisted them with interviews, and Sutherlin police obtained an arrest warrant.

White was transported to the Douglas County Jail on Wednesday and is being held without bail.

Sutherlin police received a report that a man had been stabbed in the 1500 block of South Comstock Road in Sutherlin just after 11 p.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Kristifer Collins, 35, of Sutherlin, who had been stabbed multiple times.

Schoen says they are looking at other people in this case.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the Sutherlin Police Department at 541-459-2211.
