ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The global excitement over the World Cup was definitely felt in Roseburg Tuesday as US Men’s National fans filled Spirits Bar and Grill off of Diamond Lake Highway.

Fans like Bud Kaeding said watching the USA team take the global stage adds a sense of pride to the already exciting sport.

“You're seeing it from everywhere around the world,” Kaeding said. “People from Australia, don't really care who wins the Super Bowl, where as we do. The whole world's paying attention to the world cup so that's why you get the huge following and the back and forth.”

Belgium held on to beat the U.S. in Tuesday’s match, 2-1 in extra time.
