OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police in Oklahoma's Pottawatomie County say a man is in custody on murder charges after his stepfather died from injuries suffered when he was given an 'atomic wedgie.'

Authorities arrested 33-year-old Brad Davis Tuesday night, reports KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City. Davis' stepfather, 58-year-old Denver Lee St. Clair died in December.

According to investigators, Davis said he gave St. Clair an 'atomic wedgie' on the night of Dec. 21 after the two got into a fight. St. Clair died that night. When officials found St. Clair, they reported that the waistband of his underwear was around his neck.

Oklahoma State Medical Examiner spokeswoman Amy Elliott says the cause of death has been determined to be blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation and has been ruled to be homicide.

Davis was booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail and faces murder charges.
