Haunted house worker pleads guilty to sex offender status
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The U.S. Attorney's Office says a former haunted house worker who had sex with underage teen girls has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender.
Officials say Joshua James Stueckle was sentenced to 30 years in prison earlier this year for having sexual relationships with two 16-year-old girls in Caldwell last year.
Stueckle's failure to register as a sex offender comes from a previous charge in Bend, Ore., where he failed to notify authorities that he was moving out of state.
Court documents say Stueckle, who was living in Spokane, drove to Caldwell after meeting a 16-year-old girl on an online Wiccan website.
He later apparently lived in a tent outside of the teen's residence for a while before finding an apartment. Stueckle says in the documents that he had the teen's father's permission but did not know Idaho's age of consent laws.
While under investigation by Caldwell Police, prosecutors say Stueckle had another sexual relationship with a different teen he met while working at Haunted World in Caldwell.
